The BrownDog™ 020601B is a TO-99 to 8 pin DIP adapter. With its pins in a circular pattern, installing a TO-99 component into a breadboard, DIP socket, or PCB DIP footprint is difficult to do without damaging the device. The 020601B provides a reliable, professional solution in these situations when paired with a TO-99 component. As a pin-to-pin adapter, a TO-99 IC installed on the 020601B will be functionally equivalent to an 8 pin DIP device. In many design and repair situations when a component with an 8 pin DIP footprint is required, the 020601B is the perfect answer.

The 020601B is made with contemporary PCB design techniques, software, and manufacturing. With electroless nickel immersion gold (ENIG) surface finish for conductivity and flat surface planarity, and 0.012 in. minimum trace widths, there will be no detectable difference between a TO-99 device (0.200 in. diameter circular pattern) mounted to the 020601B and an equivalent 8 pin DIP device. We provide you the option of buying the 020601B adapter either with or without pins installed, or with an 8 pin TO-5 socket installed.
